Here is how I did it when I wrote my letter to state that my loan was paid in full and asked for a refund. I totaled all deposits into my account and subtracted all the payments that were deducted from acct to include the times that I paid them off. So by my calculations....your husband over paid by $223.16 and you overpaid by 339.43. They owe you a refund if they are illegal in your state. I have received to paid in full notices and both of them I have had multiple loans with. I doubt I will ever get a refund even though I believe they owe me money....but I will be more than happy just to make sure I never have to pay these loans again.
Hope this helps.
update
I received email today from Plain Green after having sent the email to stop ach and ask for a refund.
They respond, basically, that because the loan was made by an arm of a sovereign indian nation are not subject to state law, they are governed by the laws of the chippewa-cree, and that this is not a payday loan.
they are offering me a repayment plan of the principal, which, of course I don't want to pay. Should I just reply to the email again asking that a refund be sent, or do I ignore it.
Thanks again for all the help.
