Can anyone tell me if PDLs are legal or illegal in CT? If legal, how do I get out of this mess? If illegal, same question. I currently have loans with Ameriloan, OneClick, Hydra Fund, Redstone, Payment Solutions (they repeatedly charge the interest only and do not do pay-downs), Sandpoint, and SureAdvance. I really need to stop the madness.

Payday lending is prohibited in Connecticut. That means all the lenders are illegal here. You are required to pay back them only the principal amount. Close your bank account to stop unauthorized withdrawal. Ask them for the refund, if you have overpaid them. You may go through this page to know how to tackle illegal lenders:

Most of the PDL names you have mentioned are tribal lenders who are not only barred from doing business in CT but also throughout the entire nation.
