So, I have loans out with One Click Cash and United Cash Loans. I found out, thanks in part to this forum, that neither one is licensed in the state where I live (Colorado) and that they are charging more than the state allows on their finance charges. I changed my direct deposit so that it did not go into the account that the payments were debited from but I did call both companies because I want to make sure that this doesn't go to collection and hurt my credit (more than it already is, obviously, I already have credit issues if I'm accessing PDL companies).

So, when I called the companies to attempt to make arrangements, I asked the representative if they were licensed in Colorado. They did not answer then question and told me that due to the "nature" of the conversation, I would have to speak with someone in the "compliance" department. One Click Cash didn't give me any information to reach the compliance department but United Cash Loans gave me an email address. I did emal OCC with the same email address (are these the same company) but I am still waiting for a response.

So, my question is, has anyone ever dealth with a pdl "compliance" department? Also, since these are companies are not legal in my states (and yes, I've already filed complaints with the AG) what is my obligation to the loans? I've had loans on and off with them for approximately 2 years so I've paid them literally thousands so as far as I'm concerned, they should write off what I currently "owe" them, although I'm sure they won't. Any help is appreciated, I'm really stressed because of this and trying to get out from under these $700 per month payments. Thanks.

I had requested an additional $400. However, after reading all about the ?practices of United Cash Loans I cancel. I also had a hard time getting a real person. Go to compliance dept.???crock of bull

under the d/b/a's of ameriloan, and usfastcash(yes all four are affiliated)you not only owe the principle, but anything debited gets dedudcted from that so unless nothing was debited on these you don't even owe that.btw the compliance dept is another term for their collection dept so it's nothing more than that.another btw they can't legaly report on your credit.so if they do dispute it.as for your obligation.see above on that.since you had previous loans you can try to get a PIF for these based on that, but all MTE d/b/a's are b*tches on wheels to deal with.at least know if anything was debited on these you don't even owe the principle.try to determine how much was debited on these current loans before even communicating on how to pay them.do that and keep us informed.last thing you did good in closing/securing your account.now do not give it to anybody.period.

I came home today to find letters from the SAG regarding the complaints that I filed against One Click Cash and United Cash Loans. The letters state that the state is currently in litigation with the companies and requested that I forward any documentation, including bank statements, to their office. I am now hopeful that not only will I have a chance to see some of the money back that I paid to these companies but that they will not be able to come after me for anything else that they think I owe. Thank you again to everyone on this site who offfered suggestions. If I wouldn't have found this site, I probably would have still been paying on these illegal loans instead of paying my own bills. Thanks again and good luck to everyone else in this situation.

Hi Rocky,

I was trying to reply to your question on "illegal PDL's on credit report but for whatever reason i cannot post a reply there. My loans were with Loan Shop and United Cash Loans both were sold to Capital Accounts. Like i said it has been going on since 2009 and has really affected my credit score.

I AM TRYING TO REACH A LIVE PERSON TO RESOLVE THIS LOAN.  DO NOT CONTINUOUSLY DEBIT $90.00 OUT OF MY ACCOUNT.  I AM TRYING TO PAY OFF THE ORIGINAL AMOUNT AGREED UPON, WHICH WAS $390.00, BUT NO ONE RESPONDED TO MY FIRST CALL, AND NOW THEY TELL ME TO GO TO THIS WEBSITE.  THIS IS NOTHING BUT COMPLAINTS AGAINST YOU.  YOU HAVE MY PHONE NUMBER.  I EXPECT A CALL TOMORROW.  IF YOU DEBIT ANOTHER $90.00 WITHOUT APPLYING IT TO THE PAYOFF, I WILL TURN THIS OVER TO LEGAL MEANS.

SINCERELY,
SUSAN MALOOF

I have been paying on this loan for months now, and it should have beenpaid weeks ago. I just got a call from my bank and I am overdrawen alot and they said part of the reason is that United Cash Loans keeps coming up. I want someone to call me ASAP , or I will be contacting the Attorney General first thif in the morning. I have talked to the Attorney Generals office before on another matter, and will not hesitate to call them again. These overdraft charges are killing me. I will wait to hear from you today!

@ Unregistered - please, register with the forums - This is a forum to help you get out of debt, but who is your loan with? They may be one of the illegal, unlicensed lenders who are currently not allowed to debt accounts, due to the contracts being null and void.
