I will not be able to close my account until Monday or Tuesday morning due to a pending item. If my loans are due to come out on the 31st- if I sent my letters on Tuesday would that legally be enough time? If I get my account closed, I know they won't be able to debit it but I want my new account covered too. Please advise and thanks!

When you say you want your new account covered too, does that mean you've given out your new account info?

Once you close your account they should'nt be able to debit it. Double check with your bank on this-some will let an ach force the account back open. If your new account is at the same bank double check with your bank on that as well that they are not linked and their is no way for the pdls to access it.

Legally I believe you are supposed to provide 3 days notice to revoke ach. Although when dealing with illegal lenders, legalities really don't come into play:) They will continue to do whatever they want. 99% of illegal lenders are going to continue to try to debit your account even after you revoke ach.

that's what I thought too. I haven't given any account info out but I was worried that they might link the accounts or something. I don't really expect them to uphold the revoke at all. I just wanted to make sure all my bases were covered. Thanks!
