So I live in Cali and I took out a loan with NHcash.com. They are not legal in Cali. So now I am being sued in New Hampshire for the loan amount (300+ fees 90) and the court fees (72). I called the court with my case number and its legit. What should I do? Do they have to take it to a court in Cali to get the money from me? I want to pay back the original amount but I can right now. What should I do?

Are you sure it was an actual summons? Did you call the Clerk of Court for the County in NH? It appears to me that in CA the lender has to be licensed in CA to lend to CA residents. There would be a case number, address and phone number on the summons. Call and explain you are not a NH resident and never have been and can not travel for a hearing there. Ask how you should proceed.

Just called and that number is the Merrimac District Court. They're open 8-4. I'd call tomorrow and speak to the clerk. You need to answer the summons however I don't think they have a case because you're in CA and they are not licensed to lend in CA. Speak to her and ask how to answer in writing.

well contact the CA AG.i did this morning and they will not allow this.btw the lady was kinda rude, and you should be able to have this vacated.you are not a NH citizen/resident.btw the CA AG is very familiar with nhcash and will help you either with an answer,or to throw out any result that comes from this, but yes the state of NH. well i'm at a loss as again you are in ca,and for them to act like that is appalling.i mean the court.just disgusting.
