Good afternoon everyone. I took a loan with NH Cash (not a payday loan but what they deem a Personal Signature Loan) back in the fall of last year. I unfortunately had no other choice but to go with them since my credit is pretty bad and I was in the middle of three family emergencies at the time. My original loan was for $600. Now due to extenuating circumstances I have only been able to make a couple of payments (about $140-$150). Anyway, I had contacted these folks again this afternoon to try to work out an arrangement for paying what I owe only to have them tell me that I now owe them over $1300!! I was floored. I tried to look up info online about loan percentage laws here in NH but was unable to find anything. Does this amount seem very large to anyone else? Is it legal for them to charge me so much for this loan?
