I am wondering if anyone has successfully dealt with Spot Loan, former Zest Cash? About 2 months ago I closed bank account, notified Spot Loan that I had overpaid, and was no longer sending payments. I have only been notified a couple times from them, but did receive email yesterday from "fraud specialist" asking me to call them and get payments set up. I keep ignoring them.

So has anyone actually ever gotten them to write off loan that is paid in full, due to them being an illegal tribe lender?

I finally spoke with Spot Loan yesterday. They are telling me that they are legal, that I am confusing them with Spot On Loan. Does anyone know for sure if they are tribal and I do not have to pay Spot Loan? I don't want to get in trouble! They are threatening to turn over to collection agency.

Sorry about all the unregistered weirdness... I am sure they will get that under control soon, I have never dealt with Spot Loan myself - they are indeed tribal - this is right off their website.. Spotloan℠ is a brand owned by BlueChip Financial, a tribally-owned entity organized under and governed by the laws of the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa Indians of North Dakota, a federally recognized Indian Tribe. BlueChip is located on and operates within the Tribe’s reservation"

I advise all communication be via email with them, you then have proof of your communications... talking to them on the phone is a mistake, they are hoping to confuse you and get you to give them bank info again.. don't if they turn over to collection, you have proof of your communications with them telling them that you no longer owe more than the principal and you have told them in writing that you are demanding a refund since you have already overpaid the principal.. keep all that for your records.. you have proof also from your payments that you have already made, even with that account closed you can still get proof or already have via statements from the bank...
