Need help with PDLs

Loan Shop is under a C&D by the Department of Corporations and isn't supposed to be making loans in California at all. Ameriloan had a C&D too, but they beat the Department on appeal so you should check with Department on the status of that. Eastside isn't licensed in California, but I don't think they have ever been the subject of government action. Norstar I never heard of and CashNetUSA is definitely licensed to loan in California. The other two are trickier because there are a lot of different lenders that use the names Ace and Speedy Cash. Some are licensed in Cali but others are not. Again, I'd suggest checking with the department.

Cashnetusa is licensed in the state of California and so you need to pay them the principal amount borrowed, along with the interest and finance charges. However, I'm not sure whether the others are legal or not. I think that you should consolidate your payday loans. If the loans are not legal, I would certainly NOT consolidate. You will wind up paying much more than you owe. Most of us did it ourselves.
