I need help recovering funds from payday loans. I live in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

I took out the following loans:
10/06/2009 $300.00 Northway Financial - Paid $440 on 10/30 - paid in full
10/06/2009 $250.00 Pack Mgmt/B+L Have paid $675.00 + $60 in NSF so far - still taking out
10/08/2009 $250.00 Ameriloan Have paid $710.00 + $90 in NSF so far - still taking out
10/13/2009 $300.00 Flobridge - Have paid $842.25 + $60 in NSF - paid in full - disturbingly, they claim a woman unknown to me with my account number and routing number has an application outstanding for a loan
11/03/2009 $300.00 SSM Group - Paid $390.00 - paid in full

Are any or all of these illegal lenders in PA? What can I do to recover some of this money, and what chances do I have of recovery? Help!

Good to know, Shazzers - thank you for the reply. I just received a .pdf from Pack Management LLC that claims I have not paid a dime of the loan principal, and that I am to be debited on 2/19 for $325.00. Where they get this amount is beyond me. I have not been able to contact them for a loan payoff in the first place.

My financial institution, PSECU (Pennsylvania State Employees Credit Union) has been less than helpful in my attempt to put a hard debit block on my account, but they advised me to send notices to each company revoking their ACH privileges. I have seen your instructions and have already begun to follow them.

Thank you for your response and all your work on this site, Shazzers - it's truly great work you're doing.

I added this paragraph to Shazzers' form letter in cases where I had overpaid an illegal loan. Feel free to copy and use. We'll see how it works out.

[FONT=Times New Roman][SIZE=3]To date, you have withdrawn [total amount withdrawn] from my checking account for the principal of [amount of original loan] deposited on [date loan was deposited]. As you are an unlicensed lender in [your state], my only responsibility was to repay the principal of your illegally offered loan. Therefore, I demand a refund of [total paid minus principal] forthwith as well as a written statement on your company???s letterhead that my account is both closed and paid in full. I also hereby notify you that, if not refunded for this sum, I will seek full legal redress for the amount unlawfully withdrawn from my account in addition to damages, court and legal fees, and interest.[/SIZE][/FONT]

As you are an unlicensed lender in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, my only responsibility was to repay the principal of your illegally offered loan. Therefore, I demand a refund of $425.00 forthwith as well as a written statement on your company???s letterhead that my account is both closed and paid in full. I also hereby notify you that, if not refunded for this sum, I will seek full legal redress for the amount unlawfully withdrawn from my account in addition to damages, court and legal fees, and interest.

Update: Not surprisingly, Pack Management withdrew another $75.00 from my account this morning even though I'd revoked their ACH authorization a week ago and informed my bank at the same time that they were no longer authorized to debit. At this point, they're just dipping into my bank account because they feel like it.

I've already sent complaints to the NV and PA attorney generals about these clowns. Should I send updated complaints every week? Also, has anyone had any luck retaining legal help to recover against these crooks?
