PDL battle

I am getting ready for battle. Tomorrow I am asking my bank to make my account a deposit only for the time being until I can open another one...and then I am writing my letters. I just want to make sure I am understanding the NY ursury law correctly, I just have to pay them principal back and not all the intrest..correct?
