Back in 2004 I got myself in with a lot of different Payday lenders. To this day I am not sure how many. The bank closed my account for my own good.
I have begun to get phone calls from different places saying I owe them money and I might but at this point I am not to sure what to do.
I ask them for information about my loan and all they give me is my old address and my Maiden name. Which is where I lived and I was not married when I did all of the loans.
Is there a place to go and see what loans I have out there or what I can do?
Any help would be greatyl appericated..
Thanks.
I live in Ohio.

The only way to check your debts is to pull out your credit report where the creditors report your delinquent accounts. However, if there is any such debt which is not listed in your report, you have no other option but to wait for the creditor to contact you first.
As per the FDCPA, if any creditor calls your for the debt over phone, they are required to send you a debt validation notice within 5 days of initial communication. Once you get the DV notice, you should should send a DV letter to the CA by certified mail and get it validated before paying it off.
