Hi Todd: I too live in Ohio. Who are the storefront payday lenders? I know Cashland will let you make payments as will CheckSmart.

No, you won't. Again, you cannot go to jail for not paying a payday loan (legal or otherwise). Advance America is a member of the CFSA. If you've not yet defaulted, you can just go into their office and ask for their extended payment plan. As a CFSA member, they're required to allow you to pay off the current balance in 4 equal payments. The payments will be due on your next 4 pay dates. No further interest or fees will be added.I'm not sure if First Choice is also a CFSA member. I'll do some looking and see if I can find them on the list. It doesn't hurt, however, to ask them to offer you an extended payment plan. Just tell them you can't afford to pay it as agreed and need to work out a payoff arrangement.
