Just curious...I was in a bind back in late 07/early 08. I did get 3 internet PDLS....

Loan Point USA....originally for $300....I have paid
$660 towards it...it is down to $150.

E-Payday-Loan...originally for $300....I have paid $500 towards it...it is down to $200.

Quickest-Cash-Advance...originally for $300...paid $500 towards it...down to $250.

I guess I was stupid in the way these things work and got punked. They all come out of my checking account every two weeks...and when I have had extra money I try to put the extra $50 down. Now the two epayday and quickest cash automatically deduct the fee plus and extra $50 every two weeks and the fee drops then also. These loans have cost me thousands of dollars, and yes...it is a bit my fault for not understanding before I signed up for them. I have read others saying that they have paid all they need to and what not...is this the case for me as well...any help would be greatly appreciated.....Thanks

Hello, and welcome to the forum! First of all, no, you aren't stupid, so please don't think that way, just because you needed to borrow money. We've all been there and know how it feels. Next, whoa! It really looks like you have WAY over paid these loans! If you place the name of the PDL company, in the search box which is located in the upper right hand corner of this forum, you can read experiences others have had with these companies. Meanwhile, I am going to post your state laws. I am from Ohio also, and I can tell right off the bat that you've over paid these companies. So hang tight for a few minutes while I dig up your laws, then we can work on figuring out what to do about these loans. :)

You've definately overpaid. You should close your bank account, and start letters to these companies demanding a Paid-In-Full status! You could even be due refunds for what you've paid over what is legal. Search these forums and you'll find a whole ton of information that can help you get out from beneath these monsters.

E Payday Loan is illegal, which means they are paid off! The thing is, with these being Internet loans, there is only one way to stop them from debiting your account, and that would be to close out the account, unfortunately. Please read the following link BEFORE closing out your account though:
http://www.debtconsolidationcare.com/paydayloan/close-account.html

Please do not tell any of these companies you intend on closing your account, and I would suggest that you get another account at a different bank.

so even if they are illegal, can I still ask for a refund?
Sure, you can always ask for a refund! As far as dealing with these particular companies, I haven't, but there's a lot of information on this board where other members have. Just put the name of the companies in the search box, in the upper right hand corner of this forum.

ok...i opened a new checking account online...my direct deposit is already in process for this next friday so i cant close my existing checking account. i emailed customer service for national city to see what the process is to put a block on my account to see what they say. do you think i will be safe to send letters to all three of the companies asking for PIF letters and possibly refunds? I dont want them to harrass me at work though...thoughts?
