I received and email from an Emma Allison telling me I have an outstanding payday loan, that i don't recall..shes refusing to send me any documentation via regular mail...

I fully agree with Paul..just avoid her mails until she sends something legit.
Meanwhile, you can do few things..you may try to reach out your usual creditors. They might tell you whether they have hired any agency to get any past due from you. Also, don't forget to review your credit report properly.
