Okay, I just joined the community and I'm reading over posts to try and figure out what I need to do. =( I have only two pay day loans at the moment but they take so much that I have to rob peter to pay paul it feels and I just am getting further and further behind on my bills. I'll find myself not buying food for the week, just as long as the pay day loans are paid. D:

I live in Illinois and my lenders are:

checkngo.com
www.paydayone.com

Any advice or help on what I should do? I don't even know WHERE to start. :(

Both of your lenders are legal. You need to contact them right away and ask to set up an extended payment plan. Make sure it's something you will be able to afford without overextending yourself.

If you can't work out an affordable payoff plan, you will need to revoke ACH authorization. Check 'n Go will honor it (I know from experience) but I'm not sure about PDO.

Revoking ACH will force your account with CnG to collections and you can work out a payoff arrangement with them. Just stick to your guns regarding what you can afford.

If PDO won't cooperate, you can close your checking account, default on the loan and then work with their collections dept.

Should I close out my checking account? They are both going to attempt to take out payments tomorrow and I don't have the money for both to take the money out. If they take that money out, I'm not going to have anything left. =(

With them being legal lenders, will they take me to court then? I'm not sure if legal means they can pursue me to their full extent or what....

Now I'm a little scared and still not sure what to do. I'll contact them to try and work something....

They're not going to sue you if you work out a payment arrangement with them right away. Before you'd be sued it would go to a third party collector anyway. It would take several months and you'd be paid off before then.

Stop worrying.

Tomorrow is a bank holiday. They won't be taking anything out, the banks are closed (Veterans' Day).

As I said, call them first and try to arrange an extended payment plan. If they won't cooperate, revoke ACH. If they refuse to honor your revocation, then close your account. It's early in the day, you can get this all accomplished today.

I just called check n go. I had a payment that was due last friday that I had already contacted them about and they were suppose to push it off until this coming Monday... and because of that, I'm already in a 'payment plan' and they won't work with me. When asking to talk to the supervisor and explaining to her exactly what was going on, she said there is nothing that can be done and if they don't get the payment, they'll send me to collections.

I told her its funny how you have to go all the way through collections to work out a payment arrangement with people who know they can't pay ahead of time and are trying to work it out. She said there is nothing can be done, that is how policy is. So looks like I'll need to close out my account before they over-draw my account.

being in IL i wonder.did you get anything on the payment being pushed back?if so was the entire pay structure changed?i ask those questions because if the pushed back payment was only a "one time thing"that hardly qualifies as an arrangement.however if the entire structure of the contract was changed then they can use that BS technicality.just wondering on that.
