I too took out some payday loans on the internet. I have paid the majority of them but there are some that are ridulously high. The most I ever borrowed was 300.00 but according to them I owe them like 350, I have been paying on these for months, months it seems like and the balance has not gone down. Because of all of this, I too had to put stop payments on all of my payday loans because it was getting to where they were taking all my money out. I also was getting NSF's. My bank worked with me and we got it to where I could close my account. Just recently, (8-26-09) I had a company call me(which is untracable because when you call the number that comes up on caller ID, it says it was disconnected or changed) I just paid them 550.00. The guy said it was for a Law firm of Cashnet. I did have a loan through CashnetUSA but I thought that was paid off, because I had set up payment arrangements, the loan amount was only for 300.00 so where did they get 550.00?? According to the guy today I should have the documents in 2 working days which will make it Monday.

Sorry, I also live in PA. The ones that I still owe on is:

Fastmoney911; Ace Cash; United Cash Loans. I have been paying on these for a couple of months and the balance is not going down but up.

What can I do... Because the beginning of August I lost my job and have no income.

Are you saying that you paid the guy who called you on the phone $550? Did you give him account numbers? If so you'll need to go and close that account as well. They will probably start dipping into your account and even passing your info around. When places like this call you in the future just tell them you don't have a bank account. If they say the only way they accept payment is thru ach- tell them the bank closed your account due to nsf's and you can no longer open an account at any bank. period.

Never pay a collector of any kind without written validation.

Yeah, I did pay them but buy a Walmart prepaid debit card. I got a little suspicious this morning and started calling places especially the one on the debit card that debited my account Dtech Evolution out of New York but the number on the internet for them is a private number, the lady was not too happy about me calling. Then I called the BBB and they are sending me a complaint form in the mail. I also called the loan place that they said I owed Cashnetusa and they said my account was paid in full and closed on June 11, 2009. I explained to the operator about the call I recieved and she said it sounded like a scam and that someone must have got a hold of my info and was trying to get money, so I am reporting a compliant with them also. The guy that called me on Wednesday from this so called law firm said that everything that he says is against me has been dropped and I have nothing to worry about and we will send the papers in the mail that I should receive on Monday.

My next question is should I call the prepaid card and have them cancel or try to return the 550?

I did pay them. I also contacted the BBB and they have never heard of this Dtech Evolution or law firm of Cashnet. They are sending me a complaint form to file out. I also called CashnetUsa and my account was paid in full on June 11. I explained to them what happened and they said it sounded like someone got into their account so I have to file a complaint with them too. Then I called my Walmart debit card to see about getting my money back and they said I have to file a dispute and then once they receive it, it will take 10 days for someone to contact me about what I submitted. Hoping that this works and I get some or all of my money back.
