I am starting a new thread with this and apologize for any inconvenience............................

Well now, my interest has been piqued again with this particular subject and and related threads... I had asked this before, but didn't get all the info I needed (most likely "my bad", as all of you are so helpful, responsive and kind). It would seem that deavvaed12 had major success in receiving refunds.... and what's this I'm reading that internet pdl's aren't allowed in PA(???)..... The internet payday lenders I have dealt with in the past folllow.............

I keep hearing that these 2 companies are legal, reputable, easy to work with, etc., so I may not luck out and/or be eligible for any refunds for monies paid paid beyond principle:

CashNet USA
PayDayOne

Others not totally sure of their legality in PA (or at all), but I have paid back the principle and months (some even over a year) of interest/finance charges between 2007 and 2008:

US Fast Cash
United Cash Loans
Pay Day Loan Yes!
Paycheck Today
Cash Advance Network
FastWire Cash
Cash Central
Cash Transfer Centers (I know this is the one in Malta)
Little Loan Shop
Impact Cash USA
Quickest Cash Advance
Cash Direct Express

May I please ask that the standard "letter" be posted again (or referenced to where I can find/see it) and I realize that each letter should contain a "refund demand" as well.

Thanks for any and all help/advice.

Already there, Hanna, but thank you for the illegal list..... I'm at the point of trying to recoup some monies now... The first time I asked this on here, I received sketchy info about the successes and failures people encountered in sending the infamous "letter" (or some variation there of) specifically including demands for refunds. How many of you out there had success getting refunds with any of pdl's I listed on my second larger list?? Might I assume that I shouldn't even bother trying to get refunds from CashNet USA and PayDay One??? and can anyone tell definitively whether pdl's are NOT allowed in PA at all? does that have an effective date... for example, were they, then some recent legislation was passed prohibiting them in our state?? any/all input appreciated...

Ted

You can not get refunds from CashNetUSA or Payday one.

PDLs are allowed in PA and must now be licensed in PA and go by their interest rates.

They did change the law and check cashers are not longer allowed to give payday loans.

You can find the law here. There is also a link at the bottom to the regulators website.

Getting refunds depends on the company. Some illegals have been known to give refunds but they are far and few between.

Most people are just happy to get a PIF.

Then am I able to interpret this to mean the 12 PDL's I listed are classified as "illegal" in my case being a PA resident and because, to the best of my knowledge, NONE of them are LICENSED in PA. I realize a PIF would be better than nothing, and I may have felt that way if these 12 "whatchamacallits" would have worked with me on what I owed, rather than ruthlessly tap my bank accounts and not allow reasonable (non ACH) alternatives in repayments, etc........ plus knowing they're illegal mean they blatantly ripped off me and millions of others, so heck yeah, if I can recoup even a few bucks of the thousands I lost.
