I am in a process of filing cases against some payday companies. I live in PA and just spoke to the department of banking today. I sent e-mails to all lenders, I used the sample letter from this forum, Pack Management replied with call us and the number. I sent another e-mail saying that as I already said I will only communicate via e-mail. then I got a response saying they can only help me if I call.

Is there something you suggest I do? I'm closing my account ASAP so maybe they'll reply to my e-mail after that.

Don't worry, these are tactics to make agree to pay them. They already know that you're aware of the PDL laws of your state and so, they are trying to take out money from you. Send your mail again. At least once every 2 days. Make them know that you are serious. I think, you will get the mail from them.

Close your account, file complaints with the AG, FTC and BBB in your state and email the confirmations to your PDL's that are illegal lenders. All you are required to pay back is the principle amount of the loan. Demand a current mailing address to send your payment / payments (no exceptions). If they won't provide that the only other thing you can do to pay the principle balance is pay a money card for $3.00 at Wal Mart and load on it what you want to pay them. Call them to see if they will take the payment over the phone. Remember all you have to pay back is the principle to illegal lenders. If that doesn't work not much you can do until a collection agency contacts you. Once they figure out your account is closed they may be willing to deal with you but remember only deal with them on your terms! Don't let scare tactics get to you. What ever you do don't give your new account number out to any more PDL's. They seem to share the information with each other.
