Long story short, I pushed back on a loan I had with Great Plains Lendings in April of this year. To be fair, it was my second loan with them and I had already paid the principle back between the combined interest of my 1st/2nd loan. I followed all the steps recommended on this website and besides a few emails following the default, I have not heard from them.

Well today I get a voicemail on my cell phone from an unknown company stating that I need to return their call within 4 hours and there is a restraining order against me. The number is 202-417-2021.

Has anyone else been contacted by this phone number? Should I be concerned?

Paul is correct. They are a fake collector and do this regularly
Here is the info on the number from others

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't a restraining order mean that you have to stay away?? And isn't that what we all want when we deal with these people? Tell 'em no problemo...You'll stay 5 paces behind them!

yup Paul is correct..scum feeding collectors...no one calls for a restraining order...and if someone calls you saying they want to serve you papers...tell them you'll put on a pot of coffee...
