usadvance also known as pan advance america. does anyone know anything about them? all i have is an email. my original loan was $400 i have paid them 1280 and they say i owe them $520. i live in pennsylvania. are they legit? thanks for all your help!

Welcome! I haev never heard of them myself, but perhaps someone else on this board has. The info I found indicates that they are located out of Costa Rica. It appears that you have more than paid back that loan, as being in Costa Rica makes them illegal, I believe. I am assuming that your bank account is still active and they are debiting away? You need to close that account and deny them access to your money and then draft a C and D letter and send it off to them. Someone will post your State Laws but in the meantime I can give you this address to try to get that info where it needs to go. Hope this will be helpful.

being as they are in costa rica, they probably won't be licensed
at all so i would tell them you want a refund.as you have overpaid that loan.don't let them tell you different.

Good job on the bank account. paul is correct. I, too, believe that they are, in all probability, illegal as all hell and all you owe is what they gave you initially. I dealt with Star Advance, who is also out of Costa Rica, and after I read them the riot act, by way of the Admin contact (which is what I gave you for usadvance a/k/a pan advance) she forgave the loan with almost $300 still owing on it. If it won't be too much of a time restraint for you, I would still draft that C and D letter, and incorpate into the letter that you have way overpaid and want a refund. That is what I sent to Star and the Admin felt that I had taken steps to get them to understand the illegal nature of the loan so she used that as a basis for forgiving the loan. I know that it is just one more step but it might help your cause. In the end, you will have to do what is best for you. I would email info to the above address and hard copy after you have done that. No promises on the address or the refund, but if you can get them to at least mark your account PIF, then you have won the battle. That gives you time to duke out the refund thing. Good luck and keep us posted.

We are located in Costa Rica and total remainig balance is of $670 ($400

I replied back: i still needed a copy of all payments he received and license information. because i was informed they may not have a license. that being said I have overpaid
this loan by approx. $1000.00.

I am now waiting on reply.

of course he won't,he can't.also i noticed in his reply that you
and him have had a good thing but now it will go to collections.
of course.he takes you for a bundle, tries to make you the bad guy and will put you in collections.reply that they are illegal, they got well more than the loan was worth.tell them they are getting nothing whether it be from him or his collector.
