I sent the email for dealing with illegal lenders and got a response. Hoping someone can help me with responding back to them. The company is Paradise Cash Advance. Here is what they sent me:

"Yes those are the laws in your state, but the contrat that you signed was over the internet and per the contract that you signed you agreed to abide by the laws of the west indies where the bank is located. If you wish I can send you another copy of the loan agreement that you signed."

I believe that's the typical response that I've read on these forums. So what do I say now?

While I'm waiting for more emails I just wanted to say that what you guys are doing with this website is great! I had lost all hope about my situation until I found this website, it has helped so much. I wish more people knew about it. I can't imagine how many people took out a loan with one of these loan companies not knowing what they were getting into. The websites of these companies make all these claims about how much they've helped people with their false testimonials and now it makes me mad whenever I see them. They're just a bunch of thieves and some of the threats they make are unbelievable. Sometimes I hate what people can get away with through the internet. These companies should be shut down.

Just needed to vent some frustration. Sometimes I just wanna get these people back by taking out loans with fake info and never paying them a dime but then I'd be stooping to their level.

I know exactly how you feel, I have walked in your shoes, it was a nightmare, until I found this site, then everything started coming together and I proceeded forward. Everything will work out for you, just keep your chin up and remain persistent with these illegal lenders!

You can help by sticking around and paying it forward. Also, spread the word about this website, if you are a member of any social networks, game sites, etc., add a link to our site in your profile! Just a few suggestions. :

I'm not a member of any social networks or game sites but I will tell anyone I know if they have any of these loans.

I got a response from another loan company (CashCure). They said they would be willing to refund me the money I paid in interest if I gave them my new account info. I read on here that this is just a ploy to get to my money so I won't do it. The weird thing is though that I paid them in full already and don't owe them anything. I still don't trust them though.

I just received an email from Paradise Cash Advance saying that they did not receive my payment. Even though I had already sent them the email for dealing with them and they responded back. I didn't even have a payment due yet and they tried to take $270. Also haven't heard back from 4 other ones yet. It's been over 48 hours since I sent out the emails. Should I respond to the email about the payment?

I would keep forwarding them your original e-mail. I did this with Eastside Lenders 7 times before they turned my account over to an attorney! These e-mails are automatically generated and apparently no one reads e-mails sent to them at these illegal companies.

Did you close your checking account so they don't have access to it? If not, they will continue to try to debit your account and ignore your revocation. The only sure way to stop them is to close your account.

As to any refunds, do not give them your account information.

I did close my account that's what I meant when I said that they tried to take the money. Yeah and one of them tried to ask me for my new account info to give me a refund. Didn't fall for that. The one that asked for my new account was one I already paid in full though so why would they want my new account anyway? They owe me!

Okay I officially got a refund from CashCure for $181. But I lost my internet for a week because I changed service providers and now I can't get back to the emails I sent to the other lenders. I can't log in to my old email address. But the other lenders had not responded after a week anyway. So how do I file complaints? And will filing complaints help me get a refund?

You are doing better than most by even getting a refund in first place! I would forward the Cease/Desist letter email to all remaining payday lenders, using your new email address. Hopefully you saved this as a document on your hard drive? If not, just recreate and send new emails so that they are aware that you have new email for contact. That is what I would do...unfortunately this means they will have new email, but you could always open up a yahoo/gmail/etc account for this purpose only. Just a thought. :)
