Finsfan is right relax. You are going to be able to get out of this mess. Many of us have been through the same pdl hell you find yourself in right now. And many have felt your desparation. I am here to tell you like many others, follow the advice given and you will be back on track and in charge of your finances again. What companies are you dealing with?
JUST ONE RULE! Nobody is allowed to end their life! I give it one week and you will be back on track to gaining control. Again, NOBODY IS ALLOWED TO END THEIR LIFE! There is no ifs, ands, or buts about that one.

STEELERS IS RIGHT!!! Somehow I missed that part of the post. NOTHING is more precious than life, and nothing is terrible enough to end your life. The darkest hour is just before dawn.

I agree with you Finsfan. And you wouldn't be here if you truly wanted to end things, you are the care giver of your children and they depend upon you. Pleas list the companies you are dealing with, we can help. And I'm going to say it right now. CLOSE THAT ACCOUNT, STOP THE DIRECT DEPOSIT, AND OPEN A NEW ACCOUNT ASAP IF AT ALL POSSIBLE. That is the BIGGEST and most IMPORTANT first step.

Steelers is right. we're here for you. We will help you every step of the way..
Plus, Steelers is probably the most knowledgable about PDLS on this board, along with Kyside and Mishele. You can trust what they have to say.

Please listen to Fins and Steelers! We have all been through the nightmare that you are going through, so don't feel alone. Let us help you try to get things into perspective. First take a deep breath, relax and take a step back. Can you give is more information - Are these internet or storefront pdls? How much have you paid on them? and What state do you live in?
BTW..Another one on this board who really knows the laws on PDLS
BTW..Another one on this board who really knows the laws on PDLS is Goudah. I think she's spent hours researching that stuff.
First things first, shellshell. You've got to stop the bleeding
First things first, shellshell. You've got to stop the bleeding. Close your bank account and open a new one, ideally at a different bank. Then fax all of your internet lenders a letter revoking their authority to debit your bank account AND any wage assignments you might have signed. Keep copies. It won't stop them - after all, they are crooks - but it will give you a leg to stand on to dispute and reverse any debits if they find your new account.
Now it's on to the storefronts, if you have those too. Gotta be careful, because they have your check and some states (like New Mexico and Arkansas) let them prosecute as well as sue. Most won't even sue, but they have a lot more right to do it than the internet ones. Go to each of them and ask to speak to a manager. Explain your situation and try to work out a payment arrangement. Some states are now requiring them to offer these. (like Illinois)
When the collectors start calling, especially from the internet companies - become their worst nightmare. Buy a whistle and blow it into the phone. Or hold down all the buttons for a few seconds. The calls won't stop right away, but they will notate your file and eventually mark the debt uncollectable.
Finally, when you've saved enough - call them. Demand to speak to a manager and work out an arrangement. They might discount the balance or give you time to pay it off. Don't bother with the little collectors though - they have no authority. It has to be a manager.
Good luck and keep coming back here for more info.

Oh please don't think that way! Nothing is worth killing yourself over. It will not make things better. As stated above, you will find a lot of help, support and encouragment and before you know it, you will be out from underneath all those pdls. As everyone has suggested, get that account closed and any direct deposits stopped and get another account.
Also if you please tell us what state you are in, people can help you with the laws.
And list who you borrowed from
how much you borrowed from each
how much have you already paid each one of them
are they internet or store fronts.
Hang in there! It will be alright. You have made a step in coming here and asking for help and we are all here for you.

Shellshell - I hope you come back and post some more about your situation. If you post the info Fins, Steelers, and 2nband (sorry if I left a name out) asked for then we can really help point you in the right direction.

Shellshell, we have all been in your position. And, believe me, no one here is going to judge you at all, they are only here to help. I don't know where I would be if I hadn't found this place, and had help empowering myself to gain my financial freedom back! Steelers, Leah, Goudah, puddlejumper, and everyone has been so, so, so, helpful to me, and I'm sure that they will help you, too! I hope that you follow Goudah's advice and let us know what companies you are struggling with, because there is someone who can help!
PaydayLoans
I live in Minnesota and have payday loans that I would like to stop having directly taken out of my checking account and just send them the money. It is chocking me. The $90.00 per pay period that I have to pay on a $300.00 loan is bleeding me dry.
What do I do to get them to stop taking out of my account. Sometimes the withdrawal has been taken out on the wrong day and I end up with overdrafts. One pdl did reimburse me for the overdrafts that they caused.
How can I pay everything with one payment. I have paid the loan many times over with the $90.00 they charge just to not take the whole amount out of my checking account.
Thanks
