Paying payday loans back

Hi there,
I really do need some help here, my roommate Rick has 9 payday loans out and also has one online, now that makes 10 payday loans, well he is deciding not to pay any of them back. He had a free conversation with a lawyer and the lawyer said that the money he owes to all of them would be treated like a credit card that was defaulted on. Now does anyone know exactly what might or will happen? He says he is stressed well I'm the one that has to listen and deal with him. Thanks

If he doesn't pay the loans back then the lenders would follow the course of collection like the credit card lenders. From your narration it seems that he has 9 storefront pdls. Storefront pdls are often legal and they may as well report the defaulted accounts to his CR and take legal action against him.
