Please help me with some answers. I got myself into an installment loan nightmare and cannot keep up on the payments as my entire paycheck is going towards these loans. Is a payday loan consolidation company legitimate? Any other thoughts?

There are legitimate payday loan consolidation companies to help you. Check their accreditation and fee structure. What state are you in by the way?

I am in Wisconsin, all of the loans I have taken out were online and as I am doing more digging I am finding out that they are tribal loans and the companies are not lisenced in Wisconsin I have paid over the principal on a few so I sent a letter to the tribal lenders stating the loan is illegal

Unfortunately, there are no quick and easy ways to find out if a debt consolidation company is credible. However, there are a few things you can do quickly to find out if a company is not credible.

1. Check the authenticity in BBB (The Better Business Bureau)

2. Check if they’re registered with The Association of Independent Consumer Credit Counseling Agencies or The National Foundation of Credit Counseling.

3. Consider opting for a nonprofit debt consolidation company. see 501(c)(3) certificate to verify whether the company is actually a non-profit organization.

To choose a legitimate pdl consolidation company, it's better to read customer reviews - whether or not they're satisfied with the services offered by the respective consolidation company.

Yes.

Revoke ACH authorization and close your account if possible.
Since you have paid over the principal, there is no need to make further payments.
