Paychecktoday.com GREAT INFO for CA residents!!

Got some rather interesting info for you all of you if you live in California and have a loan with Paychecktoday.com.
MTE dba Paychecktoday.com had a 'Desist & Refrain' order issued against them June 27, 2008. (go to the Ca. Dept of Corporations website and you can view it). Basically they are NOT licensed in CA and are not allowed to lend.
I was having issues with my payday loan and was sent to their recovery department. I spoke with their 'supervisors' Antoinette and Mark who proceeded to yell, scream, threaten me and hang up on me. Got to the point where they wouldn't even talk to me......wanna know why......I sent them a letter stating I would only pay back the initial $300, revoked my ACH authorization, etc, etc AND attached a copy of the Desist and Refrain order from CA.
they were soooo uncooperative that I was afraid they would take every last dime from my checking account. So through much searching and reading I found out that InterceptEFT does all of their ACH processing. After contacting them directly and explaining I was revoking the ACH authorization due to the Desist and Refrain order (emailed them a copy) within 24 hours I got an email from Paychecktoday.com agreeing to settle on the $300. I already paid $180 so I only had $120 left.
AMAZING how helpful InterceptEFT was when I gave them the Desist and Refrain order.
Just thought this tidbit may help if you live in CA.
I know of one other family this info has assisted them with closing out their account with this Nasty and illegal company
I also filed complaints with the BBB, FTC, and I am mailing my complaint to CA Dept of Corporations today! file those complaints and lets get this company banned from loaning in our state (or any other state for that matter)

Oh, they're banned from loaning in CA, baby--and they were counting on people not putting two and two together and figuring that out, which is why they played ball with you. You are spot on--now we need the other 49 states to stand up!
