Paycheck Today Threatening me at work!

I got a call today from a collection agency in Florida. They asked for me and I asked them to leave a message. The man then asked for a supervisor or boss to speak to. I said none was available (thank GOD I answered the phone call) and he said "This is a place of business and you don't have a supervisor available?". I asked what he wanted and he said he wanted to speak to me. I asked why and he said he was calling on behalf of Paycheck Today. I told him he was not allowed to call me at work and he said "I can take this # out of the system but you have to talk to me". I just hung up the phone.

What can I do? If they start calling and get ahold of my boss I will be so humiliated!!! Can I send them a "DO NOT CALL" letter and where do I send it? Please help!!!

I know they are illegal in my state which is why I sent them letters about that and I filed a complaint with the AG office. This is the first time they have called me at work and it really scared me. Not that they have me in collections, but that they might reach my boss and tell him about this.


I have the smae issue. Sometimes I wonder if the PDL's run this site..... It is hard to get answers sometimes

two things.watch it MB1 i noticed a snippy tone in your recent posts.also to the OP.you can send a C&D letter to the same address you sent your other letters to.they have to abide a C&D letter.especially when it comes to work calls.word it how you want,but make sure you stress no call at work very important.

Thanks for the response. I found a letter online for C&D and I faxed it to Paycheck Today and also mailed it certified. I specified in the letter that they must cease all calls to my work, home, cell and references and that they must notify the collection agency of the same. I didn't get the name of the collection agency but if they call me again I will ask for it and send the letter to them as well. Thanks for replying to me.
