I have a loan out with paydaymax.com, and have found out that they are licensed from some place called, Grenada..?? I think that this is overseas, but not sure. I also am unable to find a license number for them. Are they legal or illegal?
I live in California.
The loan was online for $320
I have paid $439.12 so far
I can't afford more interest, What do I do now?

I'm sorry to tell you this, but there is only one sure way to stop the withdrawals, and that is to close your account. If that isn't an option, then tell the bank to put a hard debit block on your account. Before you close your account, read this information at the link below. http://www.debtconsolidationcare.com/paydayloan/close-account.html

Please do not let any of these pdl's know you are going to close your account, until AFTER you have done it!

Thank you for your help. I also thought that they were illegal after learning more about PDL's in this site. To tell you the truth, I never knew that companies could even give us loans if they weren't licensed. I am so glad that I stumbled into this community!! =)

Should I send out emails to the illegal companies withdrawing my consent for them to automatically debit my account first, or just close it?

Definetly close your account and make sure your money is secure BEFORE you contact Paydaymax. Since they are illegal they don't care about the laws-if you send them an ach revoke letter first they more then likely will try to debit the total amount form your account. So FIRST make sure your money is secure-THEN send them a letter. With illegal lenders the letter is more of a formality then anything because they will ignore it and continue to try to debit your account anyway.
