i recently sent letter to my illegal lenders requesting a refund of over payment of the principal. one has not replied at all gentle breeze , and the other bayside cash online replied once with the first simple letter stating i knew they were illegal and wanted refund. they claimed i had to follow laws of belize blah blah...so i sent another letter including my state laws and more serious actions/ consequences if they didnt comply and havent heard any thing since. i was just curious if i should pursue them further since i way over paid the principal or just let it go? any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Why should you let it go? If
Why should you let it go? If you have paid more than the principal, then you should obviously get a refund. You don't have to follow laws of belize. Send them another letter. You have to pursue them shedding all your inhibitions. Otherwise, they won't give you a refund. Illegal lenders are difficult to deal with.
If they are an illegal lender
If they are an illegal lender, then they are not supposed to get the interest rate payment from you. Ask them to refund you the extra money they got from you.
