Is Payment Direct Online legal in FL? I borrowed $200 from them and they have debited my account for $89 for the past two weeks. But I have other outstanding payday loans and I want to send out c&d letters because I can not keep up with this vicous cycle

First you need to check the licensee data base for your state to see if the lenders you have are licensed to lend in your state, you can do so at the link below:

Please keep in mind there are some lenders in your state who operate as CSO's (Credit Service Organizations) and are not required to be licensed and do not follow the payday loan laws, unfortunately they aren't regulated but are required to register with the secretary of state.

I used the link you provided and 0 results came up..So I then sent Payment Direct a c&d letter requesting an address to send payment to for the principal balance of $200 that was borrowed..They have not responded as of yet

Hi Guest, I would like to agree with Shazzers that CSO's does not require licensing as such. As you have already sent a C & D letter, you need to wait for their response.
