contacting pdl's

I had been making payments on my loans attempting to finalize the payments, then for certain reasons fell behind and missed a few. I haven't heard from a few of the pdl's in sometime now, over a month. Some like kingston, rbt and pdl ventures I haven't heard from in even longer What I'm wondering is should I try and get in touch with them or wait till they try and get back in touch with me?

do you owe them money on the prinicpal? even if you do, if you sent your letters out and made an attempt to make good i would wait for them to come out of the woodwork. they do end up coming back and you already did your part. if you owe them, you can pay this back on your terms when they finally come back around.
