Seriously, I am doing something completely different to go after payday lenders. I really need your help. I will be taking this battle right at them in a really nasty way...the likes of which you have not yet seen. What I need to know is this....what would you all like to know about payday loans, payday lenders, or this industry in GREAT DETAIL. Please respond.

I have another question. Is the laws that great in other countries that some of these lenders will set up office overseas? Last question for tonight anyway, why do payday lenders call all day when you tell them not to call your job or send/fax a letter of cease and desist?

As far as showing up at some of these lenders door.................let me know when you go to Aurora, CO and I will be there.

Ah, so they're oveseas. They're trying to avoid the law. Which they are doing; however, a lot of it has to do with the fact that people (like us) have no clue as to what's going on, where they are actually located, they are illegal, etc. Let them sit over there. Crap. The further away, the better, as far as I'm concerned!

As far as them calling you after you send letters, faxes, emails, etc., it's because they don't care, wssu. The majority of these guys are already breaking the laws, so why stop now? What do they have to lose? Their license? Hell, 1/2 of them aren't even licensed anyway! They don't give a crap, they're going to push it as far as they possibly can, and they don't care. That's it pretty much in a nutshell. Why stop breaking the law when you've gotten away with it for this long with so many people? These pdls have balls............

I have another question........I have two checking accounts and a payday lender found my second account. How did that happen and what can I do to make sure that it does not happen again?

Is your new account at the same back that the old account was? If so, that may have helped them track down your new information. Also, if it was at a different bank and they still found it, it could be a matter of them digging deep enough to find it. We have a couple particular pdls lately that have been finding out new bank account information and debiting. Also, if you've applied for any pdls with the new bank account information, the pdls "share" the information. Once one pdl has it, you may as well consider them all having it. However, one pdl did find my new bank account and debited and I hadn't applied for any pdls (hell, no!). So, they found it somewhere. So, I closed that sucker so fast and opened a new one. My belief is that if one has it, they will ALL have it. So, if you haven't already, you might want to consider closing the new account also. I know, it's a pain in the butt, but there's no telling who else may come along and start debiting that account.

No...........One account is with a mainstream bank and the other is with a credit union. I went to the credit union Monday to put a hard block on my account with the intentions of closing the account after I get my refund from the government. I am going to the other bank today to request a hard block so I can close the account and reopen a new account.

Good, Bad or Indifferent I worked in the PDL industry for a good bit of time, The company I worked for told us, we wouldn't be shut down because the government didn't want to lose amount of money, they paid in taxes. I can't seem to find the link to your site, but Is offshore lending then an attempt to avoid U.S. or State taxes by these companies.

I would venture a guess that the new bank uses Chexsystems to verify new accounts.

On your Chexsystem report, the new account opening would show as an inquiry from Bank X. The pdl can pull your Chexsystems report, and see that you most likely just opened an account at Bank X. Some banks will allow a business to debit an account if they have a signed contract and the ss#.
