All of this information you have given me is good. I want to resolve this mess but I know it will take some time... ameriloan's original amount was $250- thats what I 'borrowed'- I have paid at least $280 probably more like $400 plus.

They dont keep a complete record on their site as far as I can tell so I cant really see all my payments. How convenient!

The other three I think are legal. If I can make arrangements with them it will be much the same as the arrangements I already have- isnt that so? I may get a few extra installments but Im still going to end up paying mucho money back...

What I have thought about doing is consolidating all of this into one- maybe with the exception of Ameriloan I guess- a debt consolidation loan. What are the chances of my being able to do something like that...

Even once all of this is resolved until I can bring myself to a more credit worthy status I will be in the same bind. If I need a loan for anything at all about the only place I know to turn are these payday loans... are there other alternatives?

Your information has been worth quite a lot to me... Im not sure how its going to change my decisions on how to handle my predicament yet but I know that it will. I plan on looking a little more deeply into your site to find out what else is on it... thanks shazzers for your assistance!

I believe if you ask your legal payday loan companies for an extended payment plan the interest freezes. I owe Cashnet USA (legal in AZ) $500 so I asked for an epp and they broke it down into 3 payments over my next 3 pay periods. The payments are 196.09/196.08/196.08. The other legal ones I have I will pay the standard refinance fee until I get Cashnet paid off then I will go to my next legal one and do the same, ask for an epp. The ipdl's I have I will not pay to free up the money to take care of the legal ones. I am thinking it will take me about a year to get this all straightened out. When I think how long I have been trapped in this mess it will be worth it in the end. This forum has given me the strength and encouragement to deal with all of this on my own. I am especiall grateful to Shazzers for all the help and to everyone that has given advice.

jamescdwll I'm glad you decided to join and become a member, hopefully you will stick around and help other people with your experiences as you are on your way to clearing up payday loans. kfstaff24 is correct, once you request the EPP plan your interest freezes.

I wouldn't give them another dime, they are illegal, you are finished with them, make sure you follow through and revoke wages assignments, etc. Once you bank account is closed tell them to stuff it where the sun doesn't shine!
