I thought I should write some words of encouragment to you all. I came to this site a week ago, barely able to catch my breath and crying on my keyboard. I had out 5 payday loans. I had finished paying the principal amounts, but was still getting hit with a ton of fees. I needed the money for unexpected medical expenses. I took the advice of many on this site and a week later I have settled with all 5 companies and have gotten a PIF on the accounts. Use the letters they have so kindly provided. Read, learn and SPEAK your state laws. They WILL listen! I want to thank you all for your help. And please, feel free to ask me any questions. My name is Kristen, I haven't registered on here.

Congrats! I too was saved by this site. I was drowning in PDLs and credit card debt. PDLs are history; a few of the ccs settled; and I now can talk to creditors/collection agencies with confidence and without being intimidated.:p

Kristin who were your PDL's with? Its awesome that you were able to get PIF from all 5 of them in a week. I have been on here for 2 months had 13 and have only gotten 2 PIF. Where they internet or storefront?
