or. . . .have there been an increase in posts regarding collection processes? I have only been on this board since February so perhaps it runs in cycles? It just seems like the collection creeps are coming out of the woodwork. Any thoughts on the subject?

they must know that the end of the PDL world is coming. ammunition has been supplied to the masses via revocation letters, cease and desists, and the BBB, AG, and FTC.
i must say that if it wasn't for this site and all the help i have gotten from it, the CAs would be eating me alive. more than the PDL rollover fees and huge interest. it's probably their hopes to find that one person who doesn't know and completely destroy their lives.

I agree. I too was wondering if the influx of complaints to the authorities had anything to do with it. Many of us have gotten PIFs with just the principal being paid back, and with the help of the processors, some have been forgiven on debts. I guess they figure the only way to make a buck now is to go back and try and sucker those who have pretty much forgotten them, into making some additional payments.

two years old or older.the bottomfeeders it seems change there
tactics after awhile.making this forum more important than ever
in my opinion.

I think the economy is affecting everyone, gas prices, etc, so more and more people are slipping in their payments. Also with the sub prime thing, that is probably a factor as well, people who would have been able to get a loan a year or two ago now can't get a loan anywhere OTHER than PDL co's, which pinches them more, etc etc etc.

I also think that a lot of people in general are more irritable and panicky, I really see that in my industry. People are really hurting, and I don't see it getting any beter anytime soon.
