If I've paid off a loan but then had to immediately take it out again does this "reset the clock" with illegal payday loan companies?

I'm thinking about using / paying PDL assistance but wondering if maybe I can do this myself.....

I've seen laws for Texas lenders but having issues deciphering which ones are legal / illegal. I think Cashnet USA is legal in Texas.

What about Eastside Lenders, GFS (Global Financial Services they go by gfsil dot com), VCF VC Funding, Inc.866-376-5077) , PDL (PDL Loan Center 1-866-928-5055) , Ameriloan?

Gosh........thinking I'll just take care of this myself! You guys have awesome advice. I think the only leagal one i have is CNET so Eastside I can fight to get them to admit paid in full because I've paid them 1300!!!!! GFS will be paid in full and owe me a refund too. Don't care about refund just want them off my back!!!! Ameriloan I'll owe full 550 , PDL will only owe like 200 and VDF will owe like 300. I can do this....I can do this....I'm going to be confident!

I don't mind talking to them myself...Just don't want them calling my work or family....That is thing that keeps me up at night...Embarrassment but I guess I'll live.

I'm curious about what to expect once i tell them I know they are illegal .... How bad it will get....

they usually deny being illegal.. all the ones i worked with were not legal (loans are prohibited in my state) and some kind of laid low and went away and others i am still fighting with, over a year later.
i do not think working with a company will stop the calls and they are not as bad as it seems.. i know some are brutal but i do not think most are too bad.. some do not call right away neither and most are pretty good about not calling at work.

THe thing that scares me is reading like GFS (GFSIL?) who I do hae a loan with called work and spoke to boss and asked for wage garnishment?> I didn't give them my references "real" numbers....but I did give names and relationship so I'm sure they could find their info on some database somewhere if they go to those lengths....Did they call your boss or family?

Bea....I am scared just sick....I could throw up. One minute I'm hopeful and the other I'm just thinking I;m going to be totally humiliated at work and with my family. My parents would just die of disappointment - my boyfriend would break up with me if he found out....UGHH. I don't know what to do.....Keep shuffling with no $ left over to avoid humiliation, use PDL eliminators - would that buffer their desire to contact everyone I know? or just fight them and brace for losing respect, humiliation with family and friends?

please try to relax :) believe me, i was the same way last year when i had my problems - from what i have heard, using a company will not stop the calls.. or it will stop them as much as doing it yourself.. i really understand but please try to end this cycle! my family was mad at me, too but eventually they got over it.. nobody will lose all respect for you for getting into money problems.. most people do understand.
again i really do understand.. i was so scared when this happened! but you have to stand strong. you can do it! just please come here (consider registering even :)) and ask any questions you need to.. this board changed my life!
