Give you a brief summary of the problem I'm going through:

I live in Ohio

i got real sick in Sept 2015 and lost my job. I went till Sept 2016 without a job while figuring out my health issues. I have these installment loans from these companies that I am unable to pay back. Can't someone lent me know if these companies are legal in Ohio?

Rise Credit $1500 ($3000 after CSO and interest)
Great Plains Lending $1500 ($3800)
LionLoans $700. ($2800)
Speedy Cash $700 ($2900)
Ace Cash Express $700 ($1600)

I have no idea what to do, any advice would be much appreciated.

Like payday loans, installment loans too are legal in Ohio as per the Short-Term Lender Law (STLA). Increase your income, follow a budget and look for debt settlement.

Hi,
Just the determination to solve your debt problems will help you overcome that. Surely you'll find a suitable solution to get rid of debt. All the best!

In Ohio, installment loans are legal. You need to pay back the loan. Otherwise, the companies can give your accounts to the collection agencies.

You don't mention your current financial ability. If you have a good paying job, then seek a credit counseling session. You will get helpful suggestions from the session.
Also, see if the extended payment plan (EPP) is there.
