Need some advaice, stupid me was in a bind, got a PDL with PDL ventures, for $300.00, did not realize they where not licensed to do buinsess in my state, plus they have taken way more than i should have paid for a $300.00 loan. To date I have paid a toal of $830.00, towards a $300.00 loan, i stopped making paymernts, they say I still owe $160.00, I do not think I legally owe this, plus i think i am entitled to a refund. Anyone give me some advice on this?

PDL ventures is illegal in your state. Just send them a letter stating that as per the law, they are illegal in your state and your not bound to pay them anymore than the total amount borrowed. Their address is: PO Box 270, Box Elder, MT 59521.

I did that, well faxed it to them, they responed by saying they are willing to settle the account for what has been paid and mark it PIF. Should i push for a refund, i did pay $830.00 on a $300.00 loan, i think i should get atleast 3 or 4 hundred back. Any thoughts on this? I did tell them i would locate the ACH processor to reverse the debits, that's when they wanted to settled asap.

Yeah, you should ask for a refund along with the PIF. And hope for the best. It's your hard earned money and you should get it back. Ask for it and, if you're lucky, you'll get it. Best of luck. Keep us posted.

Thank you, i will keep you posted. I stated in my last e-mail to them that i would conact my financial insituition and claim fradualent activity in thier part, and illegal buisness practices as well, since they are not licensed at all.

i do have an update on another one, yellowdale.com, did a 200 loan, paud 423, raised a lot of hell wioth them, harassing thier customer service departmewnt for 3 days, got them to give me a PIF and say the following:
As a goodwill gesture, we are waiving the balance and marking the loan as Paid in Full - please take a acreen dump of the loan showing that status for your records. We will not however consider any refund request, as we consider this goodwill gesture final closure. Customer Services
