I got a call from Pay Day Loan Yes regarding the balance on my PDL (the last one I have) and told me that they will send a letter to my employers payroll department for wage garnishment and that because I closed my account, they could proscecute me for writing a bounced check. This is an on line PDL. I am in the state of Maryland and I am considering calling the MD Dept of Financial Regulations to get their input. I don't owe that much and told this very persistent woman that I can pay them the beginning of August. She said that if I don't have at least $100 in by COB on 7/31, she is sending the sheriff's office to my home to arrest me.

They are illegal as all get out, no one is coming to arrest you! However, you need to send them (payday yes) a letter revoking ACH transactions and wage assignment immediately, then give a copy to your payroll person, that will stop it right away, and they are nuts when they say garnishment, which is different from a wage assignment, they need to go to court for a garnishment, but chances are you signed for them to place a wage asignment on your wages when you obtained the loan, you CAN revoke that at any time! Send them an email revoking the wage assignment asap!

I got a letter from Langhorne that revokes wage assisgnments. I took it to payroll and personnel and they told me the only way that money would go to them would be through a court order. I also sent it to the company.

I got the same call today. I talked to the Department of Banking in Alabama and she told me to file a complaint because they are illegal. Also they cannot take you to jail. I also filed a complaint with FTC, and they got in touch with the company cashinminutes and they have not called me threatning me yet. Don't worry!!!!

AI got another call from them today (pay day loan yes) asking me or my attorney to please return the call immediately. When I called the number they left if was to a company called BLN I think. This might be a third party collection agency. I turned it over to Langhorne. This company is out of Florida. Someone answered the phone and I could hardly understand them. I asked her three times to speak clearly and then she hung up. I called back afterhours and got the recording saying it was BLN or BLR the person that recorded the message was talking veryy fast and I dispise that. Has anyone heard of this company before???
