I sent them a copy of pollys letter stating my state laws (virginia) and what I think I owe them. The loan was $350 with a $105 finance charge, I have already paid them 3 x $105 which equals $315. So I told them that I would pay the original amount plus one finance charge which is $455 altogether. So I would only owe them $140.

They sent me this:

so basically they are asking for your bank info,or send it via an unscured method.plus there is nothing agreeing to your proposal.i would resend it stating that is your position and you want an address or no payment.you only owe them 35.00.you will soon see through how they act in dealing with this that they are lucky to get the 35.00.

yes they will.in fact this pdl in particular might try multiple debits to drown you in NSF charges.that is why you should close your current account and open a new one.

then have your bank put your account on deposits only.see your manager for this.go in person to do this.then close it when it is back to zero.do you have a new account yet?if so does the pdl know about it?if you don't have a new account i would open one.some have opened new accounts in the same bank some have opened new accounts in new banks.

Does it matter if you open a new account in the same bank? My bank was so pissed at me they closed my account and i opened a new one last year and i have had no problems since then. I have not given out my account info and no one has tried anything. I think i'm safe have had no problems but the weird calls are starting to my mother and sister.

no it doesn't matter.some members have done that and have had no problems as long as they didn't give it out.it depends on your comfort level with your bank.

Thanks for answering my question. I am a member but my password doesn't work. I will fix this, and the next time i post it will be through my user name. I was just inquiring because my mother got a strange call today and i thought it could be my old pals Geneva Roth playing a trick. They were slick. They identified themselves as calling from Chase. They asked for my sister, who does not live there anymore and asked if she was a joint policy holder on a Chase credit card. That was a weird question so i automatically figured it was them trying to get some information. My mother put me on hold (we were on the phone) to talk to them and when she went back to them they were not there. I figure it was them and they are calling because they have no bank or credit card info and were trying to see if anyone would give them any kind of info. I'm glad my mother didn't talk to them. But now i have to sit her and my sister down and explain everything to them and let them know that these calls are my fault and not to worry and not to answer them.

Whew what a mouthfull. I have been through so much with them.

I was so glad I found the board. When I first came here I had 9 loans. On the 11/14/08 I will be finished with two and have set up payment arangements with three more. And I am trying to work things out with the other 4. I have overpaid Webpayday by $450 and have sent them a C & D letter but haven't heard from them yet. I had a $500 with paychecktoday and have paid them $600 already, sent them a email but haven't heard anything yet. I explained earlier about Payday-loan-yes. The last one is Quickest-cash-advance.com, who I had a loan with before and ran into problems and they let me make up a payment plan. But this time when I took out a loan, I had problems paying the very first payment and tried to set up another payment plan and they basically said no. Now I do understand their point, so I told them that I would pay them back the original amount plus one finance charge plus the fee for the bounced check, but I still would need a payment plan. They said no again, they told me to at least try and fund my account. I think they are just trying to add more to my bill.

my AG told me that since they are illegal and have been fined 270,000.00 in illinois.the loan was NULL and VOID.so i chocked it up as done even though i owed about 90.00.these places are so stupid that they will risk a NULL and VOID to get more than they deserve.it does make me ill at times.then i think about how they have screwed over more people than i care to imagine and whenever i can help someone fight these mopes i do it.

I got a call from Webpayday today at work and they were trying to work out a payment plan. The funny thing is that was I sent them a C & D letter they never tried to contact me until they tried to run another payment and it didn't go through. Now they want to talk. At frist I wasn't asking for a refund, I just wanted them to mark my acount PIF, I've have already paid 950 on a $500 loan. I am curious what they will do then.

I am also going through the nightmare of dealing with the idiots at PDL Yes.
They have been harassing me at work for almost a month now.
Let's see......... they identify themselves as:
First National Bank of Delaware (which does not exist)
First National
First National Services
PDL Yes
I guess they can't decide who they want to be.
My AG's office is presently working on the complaint I filed.
I was out sick from work yesterday and I came in today to find a message left from "Joe".
He told me I wrote a bad check to them-I NEVER wrote them a check-I sent them a copy of a check that had the word VOID written across it and he also threatened to get my employer involved.
I now have a nice pile of voicemail messages saved from these jerks-I can't believe they're dumb enough to leave messages like this.
And the deal with not giving a physical address is crap-they CAN"T take mail payments????? More like they WON'T!
No debt validation, no copy of a legal license to operate, no physical address..............they can go you know where!
