I received a letter from Quick Cash PayDay Loans informing me of a past due payday loan. They do not provide a return address only a telephone # 888-500-8790. When I do a search under this name I cannot find them either. Is there anyway I can find out the address for this company as it is evident they do not want their address disclosed since it was not on the envelope or the letter. From what I understand PDL are not legal in the state of MD so how can they charge me penalties, interest and attorney's fees. The original debt is $375. If I don't pay that in 3 days the fee will be $1,125.00

yes pdl's are prohibited in MD,and this particular pdl is not legal in any state.use any info you have to file AG,AND FTC complaints.you are right in that not only can they not charge fees, but you only owe the 375.00 and anything debited before default gets deducted.last thing.illegal pdl's rely on sending letters,or emails jam packed with threats that they cannot/will not carry out.they are called scare tactics.file the complaints, and if they or anybody else calls on this report them to your local police asap.
