Hi there,

I took out a PDL from United Cash Loans. I'm not actually sure I really took out the loan since I seem to recall getting a rejection notice from them. Anyway, I've been paying them $60 twice a month since July. When I filled out the form, I noted that I get paid on the 15th and end of each month. Well, I noticed that they took out $90 this month and called to find out why, they told me that I told them I get paid every two weeks on Wednesday and they tried to take the money out then. There was no money in the account when they tried, so they charged me a $30 "NSF" fee. I told them I most certainly did not indicate that I get paid every two weeks on Wednesday and they really messed up my banking. Their customer service people are extremely rude and they said they wont' refund me the $30 or change my payment date. Now I'm scared to death because they're going to try again this Wednesday and I don't have the funds in there. In fact, I'm dead broke until Friday. I can't afford to lose another $30 on top of the $60 they want. What are my options? Can I have my bank freeze my account and only allow deposits? What are PA's laws regarding PDLs? Can I find out if United is licensed here? I have to call my bank tomorrow because they were closed by the time I found this out. I'm afraid they'll harass me at work and that could cost me my job. I'm also afraid they'll have me arrested for fraud or something. What do I do? I have every intention of paying off the principal which I think is $20 or $40. I'd be happy to send them that, but I don't want them having access to my bank account anymore. Advice would really be helpful, I'm really upset over this.

Thanks.
