I received the Pennysaver newspaper in the mail yesterday (small paper w/ classified ads), and saw an add to "get fash cash! Pre-approved by phone, bad credit ok, no faxing, cash in 24 hours." Don't worry, I'm not applying for a loan, but since PDL's ARE illegal in my State, out of curiosity, I called the number. The recording gave the name as "Call for Cash hotline" (not Cash Call). Has anyone else heard about this outfit? Especially as PDLs ARE illegal here and there was no disclaimer in the ad such as "void where prohibited by law," I forwarded a copy of the ad to my State financial regulatory agency, asking if they knew about these people.

never heard of them until now,but i would make it a point to point out the name of the publication as while i understand with the economy still lackluster.the "pennysaver"needs to be taken to task for advertising a service that's not legal in your state.

It could possibly be that the Pennysaver is a national publication and possibly this ad got into an edition that it shouldn't have? Interesting question and excellent cash. It would be prudent to see if you can contact them to see if this happened and if the paper is published in one location.

Pennysaver in not responsible for researching and verfying the validity/legality of a business. I would almost guarantee there is a disclaimer, like all papers have!
