How can I get them to STOP calling my house every week? This has been going on for an entire year. Last August, someone from a local Pay Day Now office called asking for someone I had never heard of. I told them they had the wrong number and thought nothing of it until the collection calls started coming in. Not a week has gone by now in nearly a YEAR that some variation of the 716-568-7670 has not called my house leaving recorded messages. I have checked my credit report several times since this began and it's all fine, nothing out of order. I am on the verge of cancelling a phone number I???ve had for more than a dozen years because of this. My answering machine has been turned off for five months now because I cannot stand seeing the flashing message light and hearing a message from these people. Does anyone have any advice regarding this matter?

Send the company a cease and desist letter. Demand that they cease all contact with you. I would send it to the collection agency and that payday lender you mentioned.
You can make a written request to them to stop making phone call
You can make a written request to them to stop making phone calls to you via certified mail with a return receipt request. You can also mention that you are not the person whom they are looking for. If they don???t reply and are still trying to contact with you, then you can file a complaint against them to the State Attorney General or FTC.
