After finding out that Plain Green was an illegal tribal lender, I sent them a letter stating that I would not make anymore payments to my account with them. I had 3 previous loans with them and with all the interest I paid, I already overpaid the principal.

They responded to my letter stating that they would not apply the interest from the previous loans to the current loans. They gave me a settlement offer to pay the principal on the current loan.

I'm not sure how to respond. I want to get rid of this company, but I don't believe I should have to pay them a penny more.

Should I continue the fight since I believe I am in the right? or should I take the settlement offer to get rid of them?

you apply any overpayments on pervious loans as you overpaid them.do not back off of this.

Thanks, I just responded today. They usually take a while to respond back. Hopefully I get a PIF soon.

I'll keep you guys posted.

I appreciate the all the help and support on this forum.

I just received a response from plain green after rejecting their initial settlement offer.

They stated again that they will not apply over-payments from previous loans on this current loan. They gave me the same settlement offer.

I don't think I should have to pay them a penny more because I already overpaid in interest on all the previous loans.

My question for those who have dealt with plain green in the past is did it take a lot of going back and forth with them before they agreed to mark the account closed and PIF?

Do not go with a consolidation company. It will cost you more money. You can do this yourself. List what state you are in, the names of the lenders, amount of principal amount borrowed and how much you have paid back so far. Answer these questions and we can help you further. Debts are civil, not criminal. You cannot be prosecuted for them.

I have some payday loans that I signed up with someone that was going to take care of them. They have not and I stopped payment with them, but I have been getting calls from other spam people wanting money. I started to call these loan places and seeing what I can do. My problem is I have one that is telling me that a judgement is against me and they keep calling leaving messages saying they need check my address but they have the address of my employer. Now, if they have the loan from the payday loan place they would have me address. I am getting so many calls that are spams that I am starting to think they are too. Should I deal with them or not. Can you advise me, Please

Thanks, I just sent them a response stating that I will not pay them another cent. I reminded them that they owe me a refund and therefore I will not agree to a settlement with them.

They can go to hell.

I just kept pressing the issue with them - I never got any from them one way or another -- I shut them out of my account in Oct of last year - haven't heard a word from them since Dec when I sent them this email..
Dear Plain Green,
Do yourself a favor and mark my account paid in full. I am not paying you another cent - you owe me a refund of $1002.89, that I have paid on my loans with you. If you charge me off to collections I will not hesitate to not only cease and desist them, but make them aware that I informed you I am aware of the illegality of the debt and the fact that I will not be paying any remaining balance and that you in fact owe me a refund again for $1002.89. Cut the crap and save yourself the time.
You lost this one, I know that you are illegal to loan in the state I live in.
Love,
Your past customer
