I am a resident of the state of Texas, and I took out a loan with Plain Green loans in 11/17. The loan was for $1600.00, and I made 4 payments of $200.93, but in early January I lost my job. Plain Green loans has just reported my loan as charged off to Transunion and showing the balance owed of $2800.00. I am now working and would like to pay the principal that is due and have the item deleted from my Transunion. What should I do?

Hello, I am new to this forum, thank you for your attention.

I currently live in Miami, Florida and communicated to Plain Green Loans about my principal paid in full. I took a loan for the amount of $1200 back in January of 2018 and have paid in their fees till June in the amount of $1690.40. They replied the following:

Thank you for your recent email.

Per your request as of 06/05/2018 we have stopped any automatic payment drafts from your checking account; and we have updated your Plain Green account to reflect the same.

Please note, you are still obligated for repayment by the terms of the loan agreement you signed to accept the original funds. Your due date has not changed. Therefore to avoid late or missed payments you are required to make payment by an alternate source. We can accept Check and Money Order payments.

You have an amount of $169.04 due on the date of 06/15/2018. We are most interested in working with you to keep your account in good standing. If you have additional questions, please contact our Customer Support team at the number listed below.

How do I move on from here if they are continuing to charge me for fees and now late fees

Appreciate your support.

Regards, struggling with PDL

Dear Mr. Price,

Your correspondence has been directed to us for review and we will be happy to assist you at this time. Thank you for bringing your concerns to our attention. We are sorry to hear of your dissatisfaction with the loan you obtained from Plain Green, LLC ("Plain Green").

When loans are made via the internet (and not through a personal interaction), we have to rely that customers have thoroughly research our product, have read and understood all of the costs and terms associated with the loans we offer and made the decision that Plain Green is the best option to meet their needs. We have tried to make this information as prominent, clear and understandable as possible. The "Loan Cost & Terms" section of our website plaingreenloansdotcom provides detailed information on the costs associated with each loan amount we offer to allow customers to compare our loans with those offered by other lenders. The primary purpose of prominently disclosing our Annual Percentage Rates ("APR") on the "Loan Cost & Terms" page is to allow the customer to compare the cost of our loans with other lenders.

In addition, since we offer installments loans with no fees or prepayment penalties, you only pay interest for the time that your loan is outstanding. You can choose to pay your loan off at any time (with no penalty).

Plain Green, LLC is organized under the laws of the Chippewa Cree Tribe of the Rocky Boy's Reservation of Montana, a sovereign nation. This loan is legal under all current tribal laws and was made to you in full compliance of all applicable federal and tribal lending regulations. As a sovereign nation, the Chippewa Cree Tribe is not regulated by state law; this was fully disclosed to you in writing at the time you applied for the loan.

Pursuant to your request, we will make no further ACH debits from your account.

Although we cannot remove any information from your credit file, we are committed to reporting all information accurately. If you find that we have not reported correctly, please submit a copy of your credit report for review.

Currently, you remain obligated for the balance on your loan and we encourage you to contact our Account Services department at 866-420-7158 to make arrangements for the balance that is due.

Thank you for the opportunity to respond to you.

Brian, they are getting anxious, they've started thinking that you might want a refund. Actually you owe one from them.
If the tribal loans aren't regulated by the state laws, they they aren't legal at your state. So, plain green is one of them too.
Stop worrying about them, and tell them you won't pay a single penny more as you have already paid them the principal.

I want to get this charge off my Transunion. How should I do it? What should I say in my dispute? Should I file a complaint with the Texas AG and the FTC? What would you do to get this settled and off the report. And how do I deal with the collection agency.
