i took out a payday loan from a company called PLS back in june 25,2009 today i received a letter from the DA office telling me ive got 10 days to pay or i going to jail. the loan was with a store front and i wrote a check . i lost my job and never herd from them please tell me what i need to do ... i am scared of going to jail
What state are you in? Are you sure the letter is not a fake?

Did you close your account after you wrote the check, some states will allow for criminal prosecution if you close the account with a post fated check still out, what state are you in and what was the name of the store front lender?
