I am in the process of sending revocation letter to my payday lenders. I read somewhere on this website that cash call/western sky is a legal lender backed by a bank and is able to charge the 135% interest. Is this true? I have already paid almost 2400.00 on a 2600.00 loan with a pay off of 2800.00. Could someone please tell me if I can deal with these people. Thanks.

It's been 6 or 7 years ago since I've dealt with Cash Call (before they changed their name to Western Sky). I was paying 48% on my 'loan' from them. Yep..I would call that illegal. When I fell behind in payments, they never wanted to work with me. They made me feel like crap, etc. They placed my account with a CA (who I never paid). How can CA's collect for illegal lenders? This amazes me!!

I just read in one of the posts that Western Sky/Cash Call is 135% now!! It was48% when I barrowed money from the 6 or 7 years ago. They sure hiked up the % rate!!! :(

I want to thank everybody for all the great advice I have recieved. I sent out my revocation letters yesterday, via email to the lenders I could find infor for. I also closed my bank account and opened a new one. The old one is going to be for deposit only until payroll gets the new direct deposit infor in. There were a couple I could not find. Of course the emails have started this morning stating that these people are not governed by the state of Washington and that they are legal lenders and I am in deep doo. We'll see. I am a little freaked out about the whole thing but I am going to stand my ground with them. Thanks again for all of the help. Wish me luck.
