So I was using progressive and decided to cancel. I sent in my "notice of cancellation" which I was told it was my right to do at any time. I get this phone call today saying that they had received it, and wanted to discuss it with me so could I please call them back? Does anyone know what they want to discuss? I figured it was my right to cancel..I didn't realize I was going to have to explain myself

yeah they did the same thing when i canclled mine. i called them and they just said how much they hated to loose me as a customer. but they might not cancell it until you call because i called a few days after i had faxed the cancellation form and they were basically waiting for me to call before they sent it over to their "accounting" department. word of advice though they stick it to you on the money you have already paid in so dont cancell it if you are more than half way through it because they take 50% or more. i had paid in like 750 and i only got back 250. and none of that money went to pay off a payday loan. that was just the fee to cancell it. but i read the contract before i signed up so i what can i say. but if you havent paid in any or very little cancell it and do it yourself. heck i'll do it for you for the 40% they are charging. good luck
