Well I filed a BBB complaint regarding Progressive not issuing me a refund. They said the first payment is non-refundable due to it being all fees however I have not found anything stating that in the contract I signed nor was it gone over in the welcome call. I also called to check teh status after my first payment and was told nothing could be done until my second payment was received since they were letting money build up in my account NOT because it wa paying all fees and not going towards anything. Seems to me like they should've been honest when I asked about it.

Well of course after I filed the BBB complaint their quality control manager began calling me. He also emailed me. I replied back saying that I wanted all communication to be via e-mail so I would have a written record. He called me again today and then e-mailed me asking me to call him. I wrote him back saying that once again I want all communication to be via e-mail, and that part of my contract I signed said I could receive communication through e-mail.

I swear they are like dealing with a PDL. Any advice? I'm not asking for ALL my money back but some would be nice.

Go to your bank and file an ACH Claim against that transaction. It will take 5 - 7 working days for the bank to investigate and reverse the amount. If Norstar / Nordstar will not answer your calls nor emails, I doubt if they'll answer a claim from the bank on your behalf. You can also do that if you feel that you've over-paid them based on the payday loan laws in your state. Also, you can place an hard-hold on your account and block ALL ACH transactions. I also suggest that you place an "Block All Debits" on your account; If you can, just close your account and open a new.
