Anyone heard of this pdl consolidation org? Any advice?

I am working with them and I am happy. I have been with them for a few months and wanted to give up, but now I see my debt going down, and the calls have almost stopped. Be warned that the first few months is very difficult, but it is well worth it in the end. If you need help, I would definitley recommend them!

how thte first few months are difficult? Do you mean as far as the calls, or what? How did it work with you? Did they call your employer, etc?

When working with them to settle your payday loans did the payday loan people call your employer or try to garnish your wages.

I decided to try progressive debt relief sent them the initial payment. However after 3 weeks I contacted them AND TOLD THEM i WAS CANCELLIMG MY SERVICES WITH THEM AND DECIDED TO PAY MY DEBTS ON MY OWN. The rep . told me all i needed to do was fax over the cancellation paperwork that came with all the parerwork initially, which i did. Three weeks later my account was without authorization debited 181 dollars, which due to checks i had already written overdrew my account -190 dollars. WHEN i contacted them they said they couldn't just credit my checking account that they would have to send me the money and fees for overdrawing. This took over 2 weeks. I would definitely not recommend Progressive debt relief to anyone. I have nver seen such poor communication and customer service for a company in my life

i have been with them for about 2 months now and so far its been going great. the people are always cool if i have a problem and have to call them.

i do remember signing a paper about cancelling the program they said they will refund the money you have paid, minus some fees, and it would be issued in a check and mailed out. sorry rbamford1, should have read all the papers you signed.

the only real problem i have had is with a 3rd party CA trying to collect on one of the loans i have with PDR, i called PDR and they said they would more than happy to deal with the CA, i didnt think they would since it wasnt the origional creditor. but all the origonal creditors havent so much as emailed me or called me.

I have been checking into Progressive Debt Relief. Nervous about jumping in! I have checked their report with the BBB and they have a B rating - and show problems have been resolved. They are not a BBB member but you can check out their reliability report. I have also checked out the attorneys they use for oeversite of the escrow fund - they are in good standing with the Bar Association and a phone call confirmed they are working for Progressive. Still I'm not sure what to do.How do I find out if it is legal to close my checking account in Michigan. 2 store front loans and 3 online loans. Any info would be helpful.

Another thing for Progressive Debt Relief - They are a member of USOBA (U.S. Organization for Bankruptcy Alternatives).
500 Fast Cash - One Click Cash - Fat Money Loans - and store front Approved Cash Advance.

500 fast cash an one click I beleive are illegal but I will check for sure. Illegals do not normally work with consolidation companies or if they do you end up paying them way more than you owe.

With illegal PDLs you only owe the amount borrowed.

I have not heard of Fat Money. I will do some searching.

Store fronts are legal but they may offer an EPP.

I forgot to ask, what state are you in?

What are the names of the companies?

First BoA can be hard to work with. Even if you close the account when the ACH hit they will open it back up.

You have to be clear that it is to close and not reopen.

Many posters here have had major problems with them. The only way that some were able to get help was to file a complaint. My best advice to you is to speak directly to a bank manager. Do not take no for an answer.

You have the legal right to revoke any ACH three days before it is due to post. Write up your letters to the illegal PDLs. You can find an example here. Scroll to the 13th post to find it. Change the information on the letter to reflect your information and state laws. The letter includes the ACH revocation and wage assignement revocation statements.

Take them to the bank with the federal law that states you can revoke the ACH. You can find that here under 3(c).

Tell the bank manager that you have been dealing with these illegal lenders and although you have sent them those letters they are still debiting your account illegally and you want it closed down to stop them. You want it frozen solid. No ACH withdrawls what so ever from any company.

Do not take no from an answer. Demand they close it. It is your right and if they don't you are going to report them. Be ready for them to deny your request and give you the run around. Stand your ground.

BoA are horrible when it comes to these things.

If you want to open a new account with them then that is your right but I suggest you find a new bank.

After the account is frozen/closed then send out the letters to the PDLs.

If you send the letter before your account is closed they will debt many times each and for all kinds of amounts.

For the legal lenders. Once you account is secure you can make payment arrangments with them.

For the illegal lenders you only owe what you borrowed. Any fees or rollover charges go toward that amount.

Excellent service, easy to use, very trustworthy, and they have done everything they promised. PDL, Langhorne, and Destnation all seemed a little shady, and I would highly recommend Progressive. I have one month left in the program, and I have notes that all of the debts I have have been handled.

Do not use this company at all. They do not contact the people you have the laons with. I am like the other person that commented on this. They are sure to take your deposit and will not refund your initial deposit. They are the one that is making money off of your money. I ended up contacting all of my companies and settled them myself needless to say with out the help of this company at all. DO NOT USE THEM!!!!!!

Yes they are making some money. But as I stated before, they have taken care of EVERYTHING for me. I get a call from a creditor, I call them, they take care of it. I received no more calls. Yes, you can take care of them yourselves, but it is worth me paying someone to take care of the hassle. NOTHING BUT POSITIVE THINGS TO SAY ABOUT THEM! If you want to PM me, I will give you a number of someone to talk to, and she will explain everything to you. Answer all your questions, before signing up. Great company!

They dont start paying them off right away...thats why the first few months are hard, cuz PDL companies aren't getting money from anyone. Your have to build your escrow account enough to pay them off. As you make payments..u can log on anytime and see where your money is going. Its a good company.

I've been with Progressive since 2007. They have been very good to me. Whenever I have a question, concern, or emergency, I can email or call and I get a fast response and SOLUTION, not a brush off. They talked to the debtor immediately and I have never received a phone call or collection letter. My husband was blown up in Iraq last year, and it turned my whole world upside down. Progressive was one of 2 companies that was understanding and helpful. (Tmobile was the other one) Every other company, including my bank, couldn't care less. If you are up front with them, they will take care of you. Most people jump on board thinking they will be out of debt in a few months. That doesn't happen, and anyone that promises you that is a liar.

I started working with them in April, they never sent anything to anyone, just the first noticed stating that they were handling my debt. No one got anything regarding a settlement offer from them, I found out about this after I was served twice by two different companies that they were suppose to be taking care of. The only settlement that they paid was one that was sent to me directly and then I sent it to them. I paid them over $1000 and the only thing that they did was pay something that I sent to them. No one was working my account until I had to go to court, and then I was told to contact them and make payments straight to the company that was suing and was told that I had to keep up my payments with them. Why?
I am now working with the companies myself and they are making really good settlement offers which I can afford. You might want to try and contact them first, tell them your problems and see if they can work with you. Don't waste your time and energy with Progressive, not worth it.

Progressive Debt Services is different from Progressive Debt Relief. Progressive Debt Services is a wonderful company. The customer service is amazing and they completly took care of everything! Their website doesnt have much information because it is under construction, but if you have debt issues you can deal directly with the debt specialist I did. Her name is Vanessa and she was so helpful and understanding! I highly recommend this service for anyone who is having problems with their debt!
Solicitations are against the TOS!!

Progressive loan assistance out of Florida is a WONDERFUL company to work with. Payday loans were eating up my paycheck with no money left over for living expenses and I called progressive and talked to a lady by the name of Cindy and I got started on the program right away. It want be overnight and instant out of debt, about after 3 months the PDL companies stopped calling and I sent Progressive an affordable payment so I could still have money to live on, but they contacted my creditors and started negotiations right aways, soon after about 3 months the calls from creditors stopped except from a few scammers. I would HIGHLy recommend progressive to anyone that doesn't want to deal with the creditors yourself and besides Progressive was able to get my balances lowered, one company I owed 2000 and they got them to settle for 900.00. This company is upfront and I found nothing shady about them. They help my life and days go a little easier after the mess I got myself into. IF you are going to use a company, I would suggest strongly that you use them.

They're a good company -- they helped me resolve my debt. But honestly I think you can resolve it more cheaply and quickly just by talking to the PDL companies themselves. I had a couple companies who weren't willing to work with them, but were willing to make arrangements for a payment plan. Progressive is good -- their customer service reps were helpful -- but their fees are RIDICULOUS and you may be better off just dealing with the companies directly. That's my 2 cents anyway.

(PS avoid PDLs--they're the devil! The advantage maybe is that now no PDLs would lend to me anyway so I'll never be tempted ;-) )
